I instantly fell in love with the clothes and bathing suits in the movie. Maybe it’s just me, but I think the style of the 60s is so much cuter than styles now.
The guys do look cute, but look at Giggles bathing suit. (Yes, her name is Giggles) It’s high waisted and frilly. And you could go from beach to lunch in an instant. You could play volleyball in this without being concerned about your top falling off or bottoms falling off.
This is a scene of the surfers vs. the bikers. The outfits are so different but I love both! The edgy black leather, the bright colored clothing! It’s all so cute!
Now this is a cute song from the movie, but the outfits are even cuter! The white pants and blue and white striped polo, the red polka dotted dress, the flowery sundress. SUPER CUTE
Out of all the outfits, this is the one I would wear most. Mack is wearing white high waisted shorts and a cute green top. It looks so comfy and casual!
What do you think? Do you like the clothing now or from the 60s?
Hey guys! It’s still the 3rd here for me, but I have a feeling when I post it it will show up as the 4th considering whenever I post during the afternoon it shows up as the next day. (did you follow that?)
Anywho, I saw on Instagram that Maybelline had come out with their new Baby Lips collection, and I knew I had to tell you all!
There are six unique and vivid colors in this collection. Can you say 80s?!
From left to right, the shades are: Pink Shock, Fierce N Tangy, Berry Bomb, Oh Orange, Minty Sheer, and Strike a Rose.
The packaging is so different and I’m loving it! Black packaging and neon screams ELECTRIC.
The colors appear to be bright in the tube, yet when swatched, they are very sheer. Much like the other lip balms from Maybelline.
From left to right: Berry Bomb, Minty Sheer, Strike a Rose, Fierce N Tangy, Pink Shock, and Oh Orange. Berry Bomb is a sheer medium purple. Minty Sheer has a slight green tint but is clear on the lips. Strike a Rose is a sheer coral-pink. Fierce N Tangy has a slight yellow tint but is also clear on the lips. Pink Shock is a sheer hot pink. Oh Orange is a sheer medium orange. All of these swatches are 2 swipes, except for Minty Sheer and Fierce N Tangy which are 3 swipes.
As we all know, makeup trends change daily. Just a few months ago the “it” thing was to put a pop of color on your eyes. One thing I noticed though is that there are three trends that tend to stay with us. I wanted to share some pictures with you all, if you don’t mind of course! 😉
The three things that are most recognizable in each of these photos is winged liner, red lips, and long lashes.
winged liner | Winged liner is possibly one of the easiest things to dress up or dress down. It all depends on your technique. You can use pencil liner, shadow, liquid liner, or gel!
red lips |Red lips. It works on all ages and all skin tones! If you have darker skin, go for a brighter, more vibrant red such as an orange-red. If you are fair, a blue-red lipstick is the way to go. And for all you lucky people with medium skin tones, you are pretty much set for whatever.
long lashes | Ah, long lashes. Possibly the only thing that can easily be obtained, yet can somehow come out looking horrifying. The secret is to go for a bigger wand. Bigger wand = lashes. And theres no need to pile it on (unless you want a clumpy mess!)
And now, for a video tutorial by one of my FAVORITE youtubers – xxmakeupiscoolxx – Katharine will show you how to achieve a perfect 50s makeup look!
Happy July everybody! It’s been almost two months since my first post here on Olivia Rose, and I am loving the blogging world. I have a lot of things planned for this month, including some fashion posts here and there! Before I start this review, I would love if you would answer one quick question :
