New Baby Lips! – Electro Collection for Summer 2013

Hey guys! It’s still the 3rd here for me, but I have a feeling when I post it it will show up as the 4th considering whenever I post during the afternoon it shows  up as the next day. (did you follow that?)

Anywho, I saw on Instagram that Maybelline had come out with their new Baby Lips collection, and I knew I had to tell you all!

IMG_3785There are six unique and vivid colors in this collection. Can you say 80s?!

From left to right, the shades are: Pink Shock, Fierce N Tangy, Berry Bomb, Oh Orange, Minty Sheer, and Strike a Rose.

The packaging is so different and I’m loving it! Black packaging and neon screams ELECTRIC.

The colors appear to be bright in the tube, yet when swatched, they are very sheer. Much like the other lip balms from Maybelline.

From left to right: Berry Bomb, Minty Sheer, Strike a Rose, Fierce N Tangy, Pink Shock,  and Oh Orange. Berry Bomb is a sheer medium purple. Minty Sheer has a slight green tint but is  clear on the lips. Strike a Rose is a sheer coral-pink. Fierce N Tangy has a slight yellow tint but is also clear on the lips. Pink Shock is a sheer hot pink. Oh Orange is a sheer medium orange. All of these swatches are 2 swipes, except for Minty Sheer and Fierce N Tangy which are 3 swipes.

The price of these lip balms are around $3-5

What do YOU think of the new baby lips?

Review | Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Frost & Tip Blonde Highlights

Hello beauties! Over the past week I decided I wanted to highlight my hair. I’ve never colored my hair in any way, so I was really excited when my mom said yes! (Yes, I do have to have my mothers permission for certain things! Haha)

First off, like Four Wedding style, my first impression is a 4/5. It’s a very pretty color and made my hair soft. I had to take off a point because of the process.

Image

Packaging wise, there is nothing to special.

What’s In The Box?

  •  Highlighting powder
  • Developing creme
  • Moisture intensive conditioner
  • Highlighting spatula & hook
  • Mixing tray
  • Highlighting cap
  • Gloves

The process. All I can say is – ugh. I’ve watched my sister get her hair done at home and she never looked like she was in a lot of pain. I guess I have a tender scalp. It took a little over 30 minutes and I felt like I was getting every strand of hair ripped off my head. You know, the normal.

Then you just sit and have your head massaged and get to sit through the hair dye …dyeing your hair. Most people leave it on for an hour, but I only left it on for ten minutes and my hair went from light brown/ dark blonde to a medium blonde.

The result is absolutely gorgeous. After rinsing the color out, I used the aussie 3-minute miracle moist conditioner to get my hair very soft. I love the color, and it looks very natural!
